Visiting Harvard Square Hotel
A few weeks ago, my fellow Arrowstreeters and I got a chance to visit the Harvard Square Hotel, currently finishing up renovations (and set to open in the next few weeks). David Bois and Sarah Mobraten gave us a tour of the facilities and shared some great stories about the design and construction.
We started in the lobby, which is in the process of getting a complete overhaul. A new seating area will give guests a chance to relax, and a new set of stairs will make wayfinding easier for guests coming in from the street level entrance.
We headed upstairs to the guest rooms, which are being updated to reflect a European boutique sensibility and style. New custom furniture will increase the amount of space in the rooms, and a stylish, updated bathroom will further improve the guest experience.
After some more conversation about the design ideas that went into the hotel and some time spent admiring the beautiful view of Harvard Square, we headed across the street to Charlie’s Kitchen to share a drink by the fire in the outdoor beer garden. A great end to a great afternoon!
