Jim Flajnik has served as the Principal Architect for many of Arrowstreet’s large, complex projects. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and began his career in Texas. When the 1986 recession hit the state, it brought Jim to New England and to Arrowstreet. His work has often involved mixed-use projects with some combination of retail, office, hospitality, residential, and entertainment uses. Such projects often involve fast-track or phased construction, delivering income-producing parking spaces at the earliest possible date. Jim enjoys helping to create and maintain a linear decision making process on each project and achieving the highest value for the client. Parking garages, loading dock design, and below-grade construction are his particular strengths. Jim is most at ease relaxing on the beach in Aruba, surrounded by palm trees and the sound of surf; and his penchant for island shirts frequently brings the atmosphere back to the office.
