After getting her degree, Resa came “this close” to abandoning interior design to go to culinary school. But when she found employment at a small design firm faster than expected, she decided not to make the transition; and she’s glad she stayed. Her design portfolio includes corporate, sports and fitness, hospitality, and retail environments, including LEED certified and award-winning spaces. One of her favorite projects was a local bakery whose design phase coincided with a vacation to Paris and London, when her client provided a list of bakeries and restaurants for her to visit for reference. She enjoys researching new trends in design and using unconventional materials in conventional applications.As an active member of IIDA New England, she serves as a co-chair for Art Uncorked, an annual fundraising event, and has also been a student advisor for the New England School of Art & Design at Suffolk University’s Master of Arts in Interior Design program. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, continual renovation of her house, and reading blogs and publications for design inspiration related to interiors, fashion, food, and science.
